Dave Norton
Dave Norton is a registered professional engineer who has worked for public and private owners, construction contractors, and regulatory agencies. He has consulted and led project teams in support of pipeline complicance audits; project management; conceptual engineering plans for oil and gas facilities; risk analyses and threat assessments; emergency contigency planning; environmental impact analyses; and pipeline feasibility studies.

The majority of Dave's experience over the past 30 years has been in the Alaska oil and gas industry. He has managed major construction and renovation projects for oil field facilities, served as an advisor and liaison between companies and state/federal regulatory agencies, and led technical studies in support of reauthorization of operating permits for the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS). He has authored several technical papers on the operation of TAPS and is a national board member of the U. S. Permafrost Association.

His expertise extends into many aspects of pipeline and oil field operations, including oil spill contingency planning, environmental impact studies, facility engineering and associated risk analysis. Dave is an effective communicator and often is asked to present senior management's perspective to outside organizations and regulatory agencies. He has been manager of engineering and a project manager at Alyeska Pipeline Service Company.

Dave also has experience in the public sector, having served as a Commissioner on the Alaska State Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and as the Municipal Engineer for the Municipality of Anchorage. His experience includes assignments as a project manager for a construction contractor performing fixed-price construction work.
